VascularCures is a non-profit medical organization dedicated to accelerating research into the cause, prevention and treatment of vascular disease.
Bridging the gap between scientific discovery and human health, VascularCures is pioneering a novel collaborative model aimed at linking venture philanthropy from individuals, foundations and corporations with scientific research and private industry. Founded in 1982 as the Pacific Vascular Research Foundation, the organization recently changed its name to more accurately reflect the urgency of its longstanding mission - finding cures and treatments for vascular disease.
VascularCures supports the following:
- Laboratory for Accelerated Vascular Research at the University of California, San Francisco where physicians and scientists work side-by-side to solve the mysteries of vascular disease
- Wylie Scholar in Academic Vascular Surgery award grant that funds key scientific vascular investigations throughout North America
- Vascular screening program designed to identify vascular disease in people at-risk and to increase awareness about vascular disease.
VascularCures - The Foundation for Accelerated Vascular Research is a public benefit, charitable foundation, under the Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3); ID #94-2825216.
